Slim Dusty was born on June 13, 1927, in Nulla Nulla Creek near Kempsey, New South Wales. He was an Australian country music singer-songwriter and is possibly the most prolific recording artist in the history of Australian music. Slim Dusty had a career that spanned nearly seven decades, and he released over 100 albums, selling more than seven million records. He was a beloved figure in the Australian music industry and was awarded multiple accolades, including an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO). Dusty passed away on September 19, 2003.

Troy Cassar-Daley

Troy Cassar-Daley was born on May 18, 1969, in Sydney, New South Wales, and raised in Tamworth. He is an Australian country music singer-songwriter and has been successful both nationally and internationally. With numerous hit singles and albums to his name, Cassar-Daley has won multiple awards, including four consecutive Australian Country Music Association Awards for Male Vocalist of the Year (2006-2009). He has also received recognition with Golden Guitar Awards and an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for his contributions to the music industry.

Lee Kernaghan

Lee Kernaghan, born on April 15, 1964, in Corryong, Victoria, grew up in the nearby town of Eskdale before moving to Tamworth. He is an Australian country music singer and songwriter who is widely regarded as one of Australia's greatest country music artists. Kernaghan has released numerous successful albums and has achieved multiple gold and platinum sales certifications. He has won a staggering 38 Golden Guitar Awards, the most ever awarded to a single artist, including four wins for Male Artist of the Year. Kernaghan has also been recognized with an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for his services to the music industry and charity work.

Felcity Urquhart

Felicity Urquhart, born on December 1, 1976, in Tamworth, New South Wales, is an Australian country music singer-songwriter and radio presenter. She started her singing career at a young age and has released several successful albums. Felicity Urquhart has been honored with multiple Golden Guitar Awards, including Female Artist of the Year and Vocal Collaboration of the Year. In addition to her music career, she has also hosted various radio programs on ABC Radio. Urquhart is recognized as one of Australia's leading female vocalists in country music.

The McClymonts

The McClymonts are an Australian country music trio formed in Grafton, New South Wales, consisting of sisters Brooke, Samantha, and Mollie McClymont. While not all members of the trio were born in Tamworth, they are closely associated with the city due to their strong ties to the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
